BIOGRAFIA

Miniaturista la cui identità non è stata ancora chiarita. Nei repertori si registrano un Jacques-Antoine Chereau (Parigi, 1742-1794); un Chereau, pittore e incisore parigino, registrato negli archivi della massoneria francese, attivo nel 1805; e infine Antoine-Guillaume Chéreau (1759-?), pittore di Vienna attivo a Parigi, dove nel 1781 si iscrive come allievo di M. Lépicié all’Accademia (Schidlof 1964, I, p. 144; Lemoine-Bouchard 2008, p. 158).
